For the City of Indianapolis, Department of Public Works, A&F inspected structural rehabilitation of 30th Street and Sherman Drive. Project scope involved resurfacing high traffic streets as well as reconstructing curb ramps. An intricate and complicated stakeholder matrix required ongoing, effective communication was of upmost importance. Peak hour(s) traffic volumes posed a challenge in maintaining public safety while adhering to project schedule. In addition, during the base repair excavation, a large void was found under the existing pavement. Upon further investigation, it was discovered the 24” CMP had failed. Leveraging our comprehensive design and construction inspection expertise, we were able to safely and efficiently navigate, manage and solve these complex construction and engineering challenges.
